What is Maker Faire?
Maker Faire events across the United States are celebrating a DIY/homegrown invention movement. Whether it’s a home-built robot, video game, handbag, miniature race car, musical instrument, or sustainable micro garden, Maker Faire showcases all that is creative and innovative in our community.
What is Sidewalk Sale Days?
The Sidewalk Sale Days & Circus is a two-day event, incorporating affordable shopping, outdoor dining, children’s activities, live music and entertainment for all ages. Center Street and Merchants Row are blocked off to make room for a variety of vendors set up along the street in an open air fashion. Friday evening will feature a series of local musicians and bands that will be set up in the “Pit” parking lot, which is transformed into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics. Saturday is jam-packed with more local musicians set up on both streets throughout the day. Saturday will also feature the street circus and rides. This event is expected to bring over 5,000 people into Downtown over the weekend.
